Vídeos que marcaron una época

Corre el año 1985, y el hambre se ceba en África. La guerra, la corrupción, y una sequía especialmente grave hace que millones de personas pasen hambre en Etiopía. Las víctimas se cuentan por miles y miles, especialmente entre los niños, y las imágenes dan la vuelta al mundo. Afortunadamente un grupo de despreocupados millonarios decidieron que algo había que hacer, y se pusieron manos a la obra.

Autógrafos a millón el kilo.

Básicamente esta es la historia de We are the world, la canción con su correspondiente vídeo que fue el bombazo comercial de aquél año, y en el que participaron los reyes del pop de la época.

Para aquellos que tengan la edad necesaria, todavía podrán recordar el impacto que supuso en aquél momento, donde los telediarios (EL telediario) abrían sus ediciones con las imágenes de la hambruna, y se emitía el vídeo una y otra vez.

Aparte del significado del vídeo en cuestión, aquella canción fue un bombazo músico-comercial que marcó un inicio de eso que llaman la conciencia social de la gente famosilla, que comprendió que resultaba rentable eso de preocuparse por los pobres y tal.

El caso es que los que participaron en este invento fueron los más famosos del momento: Michael Jackson y Lionel Richie (los compositores), Tina Turner, Bruce Springteen, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder y muchos más prestaron sus voces y su imagen para tal acontecimiento social.
